HUMAN WEATHER REPORT Horoscopes December 18 – 26
December 18, 2009
Aries (March 21-April 19)
You’re feeling adventurous in a big way. It’s all about expanding your horizons. One of the manifestations of having your ruling planet of Mars (energy) in your ninth house of long distance travel and higher education is to plan a trip where you could learn something new. On the other hand, with the Sun and Venus in your fifth house of love affairs and creativity, you may meet someone from a foreign land who you want to develop some kind of relationship with, whether business or personal. Just note that if you are in the process of making travel plans, be sure to complete them in the next few days. Socializing, fun and pleasure are on the menu until you buckle down and make plans for the coming year. Slowing down is not your style, but knowing that you have something to look forward to will ease the wait. The carrot dangling near the end of March will allow you to hit the ground running. The Universe likes speed just like you, and you’ll be moving at the speed of light.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
The good news is that you have the support of the Universe in your eighth house of shared resources. The Sun and Venus are there for a few more days to help with some kind of insurance pay off, inheritance, divorce settlement or tax benefits. Gifts, goodies and favors from others, all kinds of perks may come your way now. You could even be very clever at picking lottery numbers with all that great support. I’m going to go so far as to say that I suggest you buy tickets for the next week or so, as luck usually comes at the end of this kind of auspicious transit. Play the gambit, one of each. The other bit of good news is that you’re feeling quite amorous. In fact, you may find all this energy transformational. Conversely, there are still some aggravating details to work out at home. Try to cool the tension between you and family members or house mates by working out a plan. Otherwise, it could drag on through March. What can I say? If you win the lottery it won’t matter anyway, right?
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
How are you relating to others? You have the reflection of the Sun opposite your Sun in Sagittarius shining back at you like a mirror so you can observe and learn. If you like what you see, then all is well. If there is room for improvement, then you’ll want to take advantage of this transit. Fair Venus and your ruler, Mercury, are along for the ride to assist in the process. This is one of the best places they could ever be. It makes you in tune with others and introduces a happy balance to your relationships. Love comes easy and, to your surprise, you can’t even hate your enemies. On the other hand, there may be some conversations with siblings that are a bit on edge since Mars (energy) is going retrograde until March 11. If things get out of hand, they’ll resent you if you start harping. Just to let you know, everyone’s on edge for one reason or another right now with both Mars (energy) and Mercury (mind/communication) going retrograde, so give them a break. Let it go and enjoy the rest of the holiday season.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Pluto, the planet of transformation, is in your opposing sign of Capricorn until November of 2024. Let it be known that you are going to learn to be organized, if not for you, for your significant other or business’ sake. For those Cancers who have been organizing their lives in every department, you’ve given yourself the room to allow for new things and business expansion to come into your life. Which brings me to the point: now that’s there more room, some of you are secretly developing an obsession for something you really want. If you are still desperately hanging on to hoards of things thinking that it will all come in handy some day, ridding yourself of things you haven’t used in a year and organizing your papers and work space can change your life. The biggest benefit is that you calm down, because you can trust that you know where everything is. Your family, coworkers, clients, friends and pets will benefit from you being less nervous or anxious. Amazing how the Universe plans things. Just know that there’s a reason for everything. With your current line-up, you have the opportunity to make some big plans to earn a lot of money after Mars, the planet of energy, has finished its retrograde period by the third week of March. Certainly, with the Sun and Venus in your sixth house of work, service, health and pets, you are being presented with lots to do. And last, but not least, watching your eighth house of benefiting from other people’s money, I see that you have Jupiter (expansion and abundance) nearing the end of its transit in that area of your life. Take a chance and buy some lottery tickets. You could possibly be the luckiest sign this holiday season. Good luck to you!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You’re energized and focused, yet paralyzed. Your recent assertiveness is turning into aggression. Careful that you don’t come off as too pushy. The reason for this phenomena is that Mars, in your sign, is in the process of going retrograde. It’s hovering at 19 degrees Leo for 21 days before it goes into hibernation until March 11. Translating that into English, you’re being held in place to make plans for your expansive year ahead. You have a great opportunity here to use this nerve racking transit for its highest good. There is a reason it feels like a CD stuck on a high note. Annoying, but quite a forceful tool. Signs and ideas will become evident to lead you in the direction you want to move in. Buy a journal and write down your hopes and wishes as if they have already manifested. Start each wish with “I am so happy and grateful now that….” By the end of March, be ready to hit the ground running. At least the Sun and Venus have been transiting your fifth house of creativity, fun with children, taking risks and love affairs. For you single Leos, you’re ready to meet someone who is fun, yet responsibly successful. And, most importantly, kisses the ground you walk on.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Your domicile and relations with family are getting your focus at this time of year. You feel like redecorating and entertaining with the Sun and fair Venus scampering through your fourth house for the holidays. Venus loves to decorate, being all about beauty and finding the right relationship between colors, lighting and composition. In another area of your life that is usually kept secret, Mars in Leo going retrograde indicates a lot of work behind the scenes. The twelfth house is all about the collective consciousness. On an earthly level, it’s the subconscious, dreams, secrets and secret enemies. Be sure to pay attention to your dreams. Keep a journal close by the bed, because your subconscious will be working hard all night long. There will be mornings where you wake up tired. Eight hours of sleep are not enough for you through the first week of June 2010. You may want to buy a dream book or get some counseling or therapy. You will be given some strong signs of where your focus should be. You will also be aware of habits that you want to break, like drinking, drugs, smoking or ridding yourself of anxiety or nervousness. And for those of you who are having clandestine activities I have only one question: Have you been naughty or nice?
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Are you rocking the boat? You’ve had a hard time holding your tongue. Most Librans like a harmonious atmosphere, but with the Sun and Venus in blunt Sagittarius in your third house of mind and communication, combined with Mars in Leo stuck on a high note in your eleventh house of social events and friends, you’ve had the urge to tell people how you really feel. Some of you are even instigating friction. Oh, dear. Being out of control is scary. If you’ve made plans to go and spend the holidays with family, siblings, long-time friends or in-laws, unless you don’t mind wearing duct tape over your mouth, you may be wanting to cancel. That wouldn’t be a bad idea, actually. With Saturn in your sign squaring Pluto in Capricorn, they are teaching you to find a better balance with how you express yourself when relating to others. Librans are famous for polarizing others and arguing over everyone. From our viewpoint, we see that it’s not that you’re winning the argument, but beating a dead horse. Take a moment each day over the next three months to look at yourself in the mirror. As boring as it may look, you’re just one of us. Allow the rest of us our way of expressing how we experience our lives. We’re all people with our own way of looking at things. Oh, and don’t worry, if you’ve scrapped the duct tape plan and decide to stay home, someone will bring you a nice doggy bag with a good sampling of all the goodies.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
It’s all about ambition right now. Money, money, money is on your mind. You’ve got Mars in Leo transiting your tenth house of career and you’re determined to succeed. You’ve got a plan to become more affluent. Your moneymaking ideas may be excellent and you like the idea of a better cash flow. Now that Mars has slowed down and is hovering for 21 days before going retrograde, some of you may have so much determination that you have to be careful not to scare off your potential clientele or coworkers. Your actions may be threatening others, especially parents, teachers and bosses. Another note of caution: It’s your turn this year for ‘Holiday Shopper’s Glaze’ with your credit card permanently attached to your extended arm. In the last few issues, I advised you to add a few wardrobe items, not to go out and buy every shiny object you see. But with Mars going retrograde in flamboyant Leo and the Sun and spendy Venus in your second house of earned money, you may be temporarily out of your natural mind. You truly don’t want to spend too much of that recently earned money. I never thought I’d have to give you that advice. Don’t be embarrassed, it happens to all of us sooner or later. Just be sure to keep your receipts in case of buyers remorse. Have a great holiday, you deserve it!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
A little information everyone should be aware about your sign is that today, Friday, the eighteenth of December, at twenty six degrees Sagittarius, is also known as the Galactic Center. This is by far the most important degree in the Universe and not just because it’s Brad Pitt’s birthday. After many attempts to explain this phenomena, it has been finally agreed upon by some of the most respected physicist’s in the world that this is not a black hole, but a source of knowledge. Not only do we receive all knowledge from this point in space, but that we are hurdling towards it at great speeds. Many of the pyramids, stone formations, temples and buried time capsules are pointed to that exact degree. These are interesting times for you Sagittarian’s, with Mars in Leo hovering at nineteen degrees in a great angle to the Sun and Venus currently in your sign. The planets are conspiring to set us all up for a introspective phase. Those of you that work in publishing, the media, or alternative medicine may want to take or teach a class, or produce something of value to the collective. For those Sagittarians involved with the Law, you may notice that there are delays until the end of the month. Ready yourself for making big plans for 2010. The floodgates will open up after the third week in March and if you’re prepared, you’ll hit the ground running. In case you’re stuck here in the states for the holidays, but have the bug for foreign travel, buy a leather bound journal to jot down your New Year’s wishes and plans. At least you’ll be able to smell those far off lands.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
We all look up to you folks and, to give that admiration a boost, you now have the most powerful planet in your sign. Pluto, the planet of transformation, is in Capricorn until November 2024, which is ruled by Saturn, our taskmaster. And in turn, Saturn is squaring off with Pluto in Libra, the sign for finding balance. So those two planets are teaching not only you, but all of us as a group, that we need to be mindful of being balanced with how we treat one another and nature. The Sun and Venus are in Sagittarius cruising the last bit of your secret twelfth house of the subconscious and Mars is on hold in Leo in your eighth house of shared resources. You will protect what is yours. This sector of the zodiac rules deep sexual activity. To translate: you are working behind the scenes on two powerful subliminal levels. Get a lot of sleep and be sure to take some quiet, alone time each day. Meditate on making plans for a booming new year in 2010. A warning: Pluto is the natural ruler of Scorpio, digging deep to the core of any kind of mystery or clandestine activity. Being known as the most responsible sign of the zodiac, representing ‘Father God’ (Saturn), you are transforming before our very eyes into an exemplary example of how we all should handle ourselves under pressure. Fellow Capricorn, Tiger Woods, could tell you first hand that falling from grace is a hard thing.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
These days remind you of when you were a child. The Sun and lovely Venus are in your natural eleventh house of social events, friends and humanitarian groups – esoterically, it represents the angelic realms. Be sure to accept all invitations to holiday events, open houses, office parties and mixers because everywhere you go there’s a glowing spotlight shining on you. If you’re on a committee or working with an organization, they all love your work. If you’re not a member of a group that interests you, this is a good time to join up. On the opposite side of your chart, Mars is stuck in Leo for twenty one days before it retrogrades until late March next year. How this shakes out is that it’s focusing on how you relate to significant others, long-time friendships and business partnerships. If you choose to take this assignment seriously, dig in and ask questions of these important people in your life. Understand that Mars is transiting your seventh house of important relationships until June 2010, so this is significant. Prepare yourself for a long session and make sure there’s a lovely bottle of wine or two on the table. Picture Jack Nicholson’s character, Harry Sandborn, in ‘Something’s Gotta Give’ when he takes a six month tour around the world interviewing hoards of relationships past to find out why he had limits on his relations to women. This is the important part- your job over the next few weeks is to ask questions, listen and take notes. Let it all process while you have a great holiday and get back to them with a loving and intelligent response. Something that won’t burn a bridge.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
You’re lit up like a shining star this week. The Sun and lovely Venus are in Sagittarius in your tenth house of career. You may get loads of compliments and praise from those that are most important to you. Your bosses, clients and coworkers find you fabulous in every way (just ignore the jealous ones). The boss or business owner may offer you a raise or a partnership. Others who are praising you are parents, mentors, teachers and VIPs. With Leo cruising your sixth house of work, service, health and pets, you have loads of work to do. Like I said before, you are on a roll. For you single Pisces, you may fall for someone who is older, richer and more experienced in the ways of the world. Go for it. Who knows if it’s something that will last, with the world changing by the minute, but for now at least, you’ll get some cool gifts for the holidays. Later in the week the Sun is shifting over into Capricorn, cruising your eleventh house of hopes and wishes. As I informed you last week, this next year is extremely successful for you folks if you plan well and stay on task. Be sure to steal some time for yourself and write down, in your own handwriting, what you really want your life to look like in the short and long term. Best of all, you are the lucky winner of the zodiac lottery for 2010. Well, as you can see, your forecast for this week is short, but sweet. Savor it.
*NOTE: When reading any horoscopes, be sure to read your Ascendant or Rising Sign first. Then your Sun and Moon signs – to get a better picture of what is in store for you personally. If you don’t know your chart and need assistance, email me with your Date, Place and Time of birth and I’ll look it up for you.
For Everyone:
Holiday cheer is everywhere now. The Sun (Universal connection) and Venus (how we love things to be) are playing closely together in Sagittarius until December 22. Ruled by Jupiter, this sign is all about expansion, abundance and experiencing higher wisdom. It also rules long distance or foreign travel, publishing, the media, exams, religion, judgments, higher education, medicine, singing and dancing. After December 21 the energy is going to shift. Get any details wrapped up by then, as both Mars (energy of all kinds) and Mercury (mind and communication) are going retrograde. It’s like putting on the brakes. Just know that using this time for it’s higher purpose is the difference between skidding out of control, versus slowing down to steer your life onto the high road. Picture all of us reaching new plateau’s in our individual lives. We are all going into a research and planning stage. How do you see yourself this next year? Saturn (the taskmaster) and Pluto (death/ rebirth, transformation) are squaring off and Mars is hovering at 19 degrees Leo for 21 days. Focusing all of their energies simultaneously means something big is to come from the end of March to the middle of June 2010. The Sun will go into Capricorn, joining Mercury, followed by Venus. These three planets working together is making it an ideal time for retrospect. Keep in mind, whatever you’re thinking and feeling during the next three months is creating your future. Seriously.
