Confessed child serial killer Mack Ray Edwards helped build an overpass west of Santa Barbara shortly after Ramona Price went missing in 1961.

In 1971, Edwards received the death penalty after he confessed to killing 20 children. He hanged himself in a San Quentin prison cell a year later.

Before his death, Edwards told some of his fellow prisoners he had buried his victims in the dirt under roads while working as a machinery driver. Several of Edwards’ victims have been uncovered during freeway excavations in the Los Angeles area.

Last Wednesday, cadaver dogs alerted police to an area of interest, the Santa Barbara Independent said. The search could take several days.

Hey where are the usual anti-mexican and drug-crazed criminal comments? Isn’t that the common consensus about the source of all crime?

Hopefull this child and Kristen Smart will be found, for family closure.

Parents and relatives deserve to know. Money is not our God. Save it or spend it. Buy something the good feelings don’t last long. (Usually) Help others with it and you feel good a very long time.

Help me here. They find her, gone for 50 yrs. What is the pay-off?

Closure.

the payoff is for one families closure. but in these tough economic times I wish the government agencies would spend their limited resources on something that serves the greater good.

I hope they find her. This is what we pay them for IMO.
