Man accused of Arroyo Grande home invasion

October 19, 2011

Silas Nathaniel Kanady

A Santa Maria man is accused of forcing himself into a rural Arroyo Grande home in mid-August and tying up two brothers before robbing them and pistol whipping one of the victims.

Santa Maria police officers arrested Silas Nathaniel Kanady, 23, on Sept. 18, after he allegedly broke into a Santa Maria home, threatened the residents with a gun, assaulted one victim and robbed them.

Kanady is currently in custody at the Santa Barbara County Jail.  He is to be charged in a Santa Barbara court for kidnapping to commit robbery, first degree robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and dissuading a victim and false imprisonment.

Ai-yai-yai . . .

Yet another example of why Thomas Jefferson was correct in saying:

”The Constitution of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and DUTY to be AT ALL TIMES ARMED.”

Just ANOTHER spurious quote given to TJ. You can’t source it through his writings!

AGAIN, HE DIDN’T SAY YOUR QUOTE:

“The constitutions of most of our States assert, that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves, in all cases to which they think themselves competent, (as in electing their functionaries executive and legislative, and deciding by a jury of themselves, in all judiciary cases in which any fact is involved,) or they may act by representatives, freely and equally chosen; that it is their right and duty to be at all times aimed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of the press.”

NOTE THE DIFFERENCE IN CONTEXT OF HIM STATING MOST STATE CONSTITUTIONS VERSUS THE SECONDS PROPONENTS WHO PROVIDED THE SPURIOUS QUOTE!
