Arsonists torch Tuolumne County Sheriff vehicles

December 1, 2011

Arsonists set nearly a dozen Tuolumne County Sheriff’s vehicles on fire earlier today, prompting officials to call in agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms. [ModestoBee]

It appears the arsonists pushed a pickup truck about a 100 feet into the Patrol Annex lot in Sonora. They then doused the truck and almost a dozen police vehicles with gasoline, took off the gas caps, and set them on fire at about 3 a.m.

The fire destroyed the pickup truck, a patrol car, a department SUV and damaged eight other sheriff’s vehicles, the Modesto Bee said.

The parking lot was not secured or fenced though it does have a surveillance camera. Officials plan to review the tapes as part of their investigation.

Hey! There’s a large stand of native California carnivorous plants not too far from there! Really, they could have chosen a better target.

Simple solution really, fence the damn place…

Keystone Cops ?

What are the odds on a disgruntled former employee that knew the layout ?

( How does one become ‘gruntled’ ? )

12 cars sitting? where were their drivers? Maybe they were in a tailgate meeting watching “Attorney at large” Murphy’s how to serve the public video.

And who was watching the vehicles?

A camera was watching them silly. Now if the camera just captured the faces and if the faces just weren’t covered up with hoods and and and I guess somebody had a beef with the cops !!

I can hear it now in the Tuolumne PD Station, lets see now who have we really pissed off lately????
