By ARMANDO TORRES-GARCIA

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies raided Taco Temple in Morro Bay on Wednesday afternoon in connection with a drug operation, sources and witnesses said.

Deputies arrested Efrain Ramirez, 44, the restaurant’s kitchen manager, for transporting narcotics. He remains in San Luis Obispo County Jail on an immigration hold, deputies said.

In addition to raiding the restaurant, deputies also searched Ramirez’ Los Osos home where they discovered an unknown quantity of drugs, sources said.

Ramirez is suspected of selling cocaine out of the backdoor of the restaurant for more than a decade, sources said. Law enforcement personnel are continuing to investigate.

Kelli R, as Adams daughter, I would like to say that you are full of shit, you don’t know anything about what is going on, all you know about is the stuff that has been said on the news, and rumors. My father Adam is an awesome man, and very productive in his life and job, you don’t know anything about this story, my dad, or anything obviously. You’re comment is just rude and arrogant. You disgust me. And get your facts straight before your post stuff, because you sound stupid.

I’m glad you posted

it is nice to know who the bull-sh*tters are early on.

riley220, Your father might be a good man and it’s more than possible that he knew nothing about the extra curricular activities of Ramirez however your father did know that Ramirez was here illegally and no doubt was paying him under the table. If Ramirez worked for your father for 10 years, your father knew about Ramirez within the first 6 months unless Ramirez was working under another persons name with a legitimate social security number but even then, your father would have eventually known this as Ramirez has been deported a few times. Your families business practices are part of the problem with the illegals coming into this country, working under the table, having anchor babies, siphoning down our social services and over crowding our schools and ER’s, while selling drugs on the side. Way to go, not………..

The owners have received letters regarding problems with SS identification stating not to fire the employee and that the employee must take care of the problem. So how do the owners react to that? maybe Social Security and immigration should follow up on these problems. If they state not to fire the employee, and they do good work where does that leave the owners? The man in question was NOT being paid under the table, as are none of the staff… we all receive paychecks from an accountant. If he was able to get through the initial tax application and there is no obvious evidence of prior problems how is one supposed to know? This responsibility falls on the state.

The State of CA would have been sending your accountant or your father letters every quarter about a discrepancy between the Employee’s name and SS#. In the past, the state began to fine Employers $50 each quarter for each continued violation.

When i worked in the Agricultural industry, the HR department had so many violations that the state came in and provided us access to a State database where I was “required” to verify an applicants corresponding tax ID# and name before I allowed them to be hired.

If the state is now instructing Employers that an individual has provided false information but that they should not be terminated, then La Raza has fully infiltrated the state of CA. This is a SERIOUS PROBLEM that needs to be addressed.

The radio news said this man had prior deports for illegally being here (no surprise…duh… we invite them back with our policy). That being said, if Taco Temple did no background check on their chef, do they really check the food they serve? If he succesfully passed himself off as a legitimate American, could we be eating Thai raised bathtub Tilapia disguised as “Rock Cod?” Yes, this was tongue in cheek, but a message to the owners: Do your homework and don’t be so gullible!

I always order the Mexican Coke with my meals when available… they sell them at Costco for $20 a case.

All that pure white… sugar… yum!

Not only was he selling drugs, he was deported previously for the same thing.

I thought it was because of all the stuff they steal from the goodwill trailer. They don’t even hide the loot, just set it by the backdoor of the restaurant until closing

…..

You are silly. Stealing from the Goodwill? What a useless comment. How can you steal from the Goodwill if there is always a guy there during it’s time of business, anything dropped at the Goodwill after hours is not the Goodwills responsibility and isn’t a donation. Try reading the sign on the trailer…

Hey Diamond. you like gemstone names? If you are the former employee I think you are I saw you snag a few things from the Goodwill too…

No wonder I always thought the cilantro was fantastic !

Gee, Kelli, judgmental much? Adam and Danielle are good people…just because a long-term employee peed in the pool is no reason to accuse them of any wrongdoing. Are you just upset because you lost your drug connection? Or are you an undercover cop?

BeachRose, get it together. My husband and i have owned a roofing business for over 20 years. interesting we do have not experienced drugs amongst the workplace, since we have a zero tolerance policy. The “good people” Adam and Donelle must not have the same standards.

You are just a hateful woman aren’t you? So one person gets through and the owners are bad people? I can assure you the waitstaff is NOT strung out since most are mothers and grandmothers making a living, people I work with everyday. All of your comments sound like personal attacks instead of insightful comments about the issue at hand. Have fun on your high horse…

“Ramirez is suspected of selling cocaine out of the backdoor of the restaurant for more than a decade, sources said”???

If that allegation is true, then guess what that probably means; the police were in on it, getting their cut on a regular basis.

My guess is that people on immigration hold do not show up in the Tribune’s mug shot list. You may notice that the guy arrested for the stolen vehicle and CHP chase from Bakersfield to Paso has not shown up in the mug shot list of arrested people.
