Arroyo Grande man stabs elderly man

An Arroyo Grande man is in jail after smoking an unknown substance, becoming delusional, and stabbing an elderly man several times Monday morning.
Emergency personnel transported both Thomas Sandercock Jr., 35, and the elderly victim to a local hospital. The victim is expected to have a successful recovery from his stab wounds.
Sandercock was treated at the emergency room and released. Officers then booked him into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder with bail set at $500,000.
