Grover Beach man accused of attempted murder

A Grover Beach man who attempted to murder an acquaintance who refused to give him prescriptions drugs was charged with attempted murder on Friday.
Following the alleged robbery and attempted murder, Thomas Allen Kirker, 32, fled the victim’s home. Police later arrested Kirker at his home on Longbranch Avenue.
Police booked Kirker into San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of attempted murder, burglary and robbery with bail set at $500,000.
