Obama eases immigrants’ residency rule

January 2, 2013

Illegal immigrants with immediate relatives who are U.S. citizens can be fast-tracked to permanent residency under a rule issued Wednesday by the Obama Administration. (Los Angeles Times)

The executive action by the Department of Homeland Security will affect about 10 percent of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants now thought to be in this country.

The rule ostensibly seeks to shorten the time illegal immigrants must spend apart from an American spouse, children or parents in order to apply for legal residency.

Changes go into effect March 4, and will require applicants to leave the country only briefly, returning to their country of origin to obtain a visa. The rule allows the administration to act on some immigration issues without involving a heretofore reluctant Congress.

Someone needs to tell the President to quit lowering the bar, this ain’t Limbo.

A good leader DOES NOT reinforce failure. Anyway you spin it, an illegal resident, is an illegal resident.Guess who’s going to absorb the cost of this new program?

Let’s see, it’s already illegal to enter the US without authorization but the President can just wave his hand and it’s OK? Just checking.

Link to Snopes.com article that for the most part validates the various quotes….

So I guess every illegal family or illegal woman or man can decide to get together and have a baby here and they will have permanent residency….

IMPEACH OBAMA

111,000.00 new welfare cases.

and people take offense at the term “anchor baby”. It will certainly become an incentive now, won’t it..

The more you give these people, the more they want, and the more they take.

Nothing new here, obama is pandeing to his voter base.

If he really wanted to do something about illegal immigration and national security he had four years to do something, anything…

You are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts:– 2011: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement removed 396,906 illegal immigrants from the United States, the largest number in the agency’s history. Of those, 216,698 (nearly 55%) had been convicted of felonies or misdemeanors. (ICE)

– April 23, 2012: The Pew Hispanic Center announced that net migration from Mexico to the United States had stopped and possibly even reversed. The center noted that from 2005 to 2010, about 1.4 million Mexicans immigrated to the United States, and about 1.4 million Mexican immigrants and their U.S.-born children moved from the United States to Mexico.

I wonder how many came back or deported multiple times

Easy to thumb down FACTS that don’t fit your opinion eh? Go ahead remove all doubt.

Two problems with your”facts” first of all, the agenda of Pew. Hardly an unbiased “fact” producer and 1.4 million is only about 10%of the number here on a permanent basis. also, that does not include those born here as anchor babies.

The is that over the last 30 years unknown numbers(some put this number at 30 million) ILLEGALS have snuck across our porous borders and nothing was done. The only reason why the numbers on todays ILLEGALS crossing into the USA have slowed is because the economy here is in the tank and even those who would hire ILLEGALS have no work for them.

When looking at todays drug and body smugglers numbers, one only has to look at how far those smugglers are willing to fuel a panga to run up the coast. Those numbers are definitely on the rise as evidenced by our local news.

Fact is that somewhere over 20 million people just waltzed into this country unchecked and were allowed to remain unchecked. They are still here today and maybe a few are going back to the squaller they left in their home nations, but no one has stopped them and no one is rounding them up and prosecuting them for the crime of ILLEGAL entry into the USA.

Any one who has traveled abroad is aware that automatic weapons are at every port of entry and everyone is required to show proof of residency or a visa. If not you are automatically arrested and deported, no questions or cmments…

And you believe this. Anyone believe the Obama Administration. This is the same administration that a couple of weeks ago stated that five folks at the State Dept had been fired for the Benezini (sp) failed incident. Now we learn they are on PAID administrative leave. I believe they call this a vacation and they will soon be back on the job. Now who wants to believe these numbers…

Isnt just wonderful news… puke.
