SLO explosions tied to hash lab

San Luis Obispo Fire Department investigators discovered a hash conversion lab at a trailer that was engulfed in flames Wednesday night following several explosions.

Four fire trucks and a total of 25 firefighters worked to quickly extinguish the blaze that had already spread from the double-wide on the 1700 block of Lynn Drive to a neighboring trailer. Several explosions shook nearby homes and businesses at the Laguna Shopping Center.

Fire department investigators discovered a plethora of butane canisters and a large amount of marijuana in the home.

Officers arrested the homeowner, 55-year-old Candice Garcia, for possession and manufacturing hash and booked her into the San Luis Obispo County Jail. Her bail has been set at $500,000.

Neighbors complained to the City for years about the odor from this mobile home. City Code Enforcement, as inept as they were claimed “we can’t do anything, it is a trailer park.” Now we see the end result, but fortunately no one was hurt. Sounds like the dog got out, but this all could have been avoided if the City had fulfilled its obligation of proactive code enforcement with the passage of measure Y. Lies, lies and more lies. Promote the inept and morally corrupt. Maybe, Katie can take the dog in at her Malibu estate???

I wonder if they will have to evacuate some of the surrounding residents. I don’t know what is involved with making hash oil (except for canisters of butane gas), but it may end up being a hazardous waste danger.


This incident really makes one wonder about safety issues involved with living in homes placed closely together, or, worse, attached by common walls, like condos. Candice Garcia, the woman in the booking photo, looks pretty danged normal to me, yet she was booked for an incident that could have killed innocent neighbors.


I have zero sympathy for anyone who would put others at risk by doing something illegal, which is what Garcia is said to have done with her hash-oil production. Anybody with any sense would have known that storing butane canisters, in a residence close to other residences, would be endangering others.


If I was her neighbors, I would be plenty ticked off, and would be sure to be at her hearings to voice my opinion.

Usually it is a lack of humility that prevents one from apologizing. I think that may be true for Ted.


At any rate, the Bible’s strongest precepts are based in “Do to others what you would have done to you,” humility, and kindest towards others.


Ted will eventually apologize. He claims he is a man of God and, if this is true, then he doesn’t want to risk his own Salvation by refusing to make a simple apology.


Not many people like admitting they were wrong. I’ve found typing it in Latin, “mea culpa” followed by specifying the bonehead mistake I made, eases the pain for me.

P.S. I think Ted’s posts are funnier than heII, but I don’t take them seriously because, when it comes to the biblical verbage as reasons for his opinions, I don’t think he is really serious. I think it is tongue in cheek, and it is very, very funny (to me–your mileage may vary).

No dear, barring any apology to a biblically second class woman, your first inclination was a meth lab, was it not? Sure it was. Meth and hash are two mutually exclusive entities, which precludes that you were wrong in your assumption in what caused the explosions.


If anyone should apologize, it should be you , because not only do you continue to speak out as a woman, which goes directly against the scriptures, but you were wrong when doing so about the cause!

If you make a mistake, it is simply a mistake. If you make a mistake, it doesn’t matter whether you are a woman or a man, you need to rectify it as soon as possible.


However, if it wrongfully casts another person in a bad light, then you must humble yourself and make a simple apology.


The road to salvation has many stumbling blocks related to pride, Ted. So do some godly warm-up exercises, and drop-kick your pride out the door.

The first law of the universe is “cause and effect.” Therefore, the “cause” of the explosions in this story was from a “hash” lab. Cindy assumed that it was from a “meth lab”, and it was not. A very simple and logical deduction is the fact that what she proposed as the cause, was in fact, wrong. Get it? Take this logical deduction into a court of law to fully see it’s direct outcome.


Mary, I realize that you’re not a Christian. You are biblically a Sister of Eve that has gone astray. Therefore, you do not have the explicit laws of Christianity to follow as a 2nd class woman in the way of remaining silent as 2 Timothy 2:12 so dictates. Nonetheless, even though you’re hell bound because of this fact, I still remain a superior Christian man over any woman as the inspired word of my particular God tells me. Therefore, I don’t have to take any lip from any woman, and especially you!


The fact remains of the actual cause of these explosions, and it was not what our pseudo-christian mascot, Cindy, proposed! 2+2=4.


Remember, always borrow money from pessimists – they don’t expect it back, praise!

1. I love it when you end a post with “praise!” Reminds me of the Baptist churches in Arkansas. I’m sure they frequently use the term, sprinkled amongst conversation, elsewhere, but it was when I visited my relatives in Arkansas that I most willingly, and regularly, went to church.


2. Technically, I am still a Christian. Just as, technically, despite your lack of humility, you are still a Christian.


3. Technically, you DO have to take lip from me, regardless of my gender. This is an internet message board, and both genders are allowed to post here (although you may be making the moderators reconsider letting males post here–just kidding).
