Paso Robles police arrest five for drug charges

paso police4The Paso Roble Police Department’s newly created Special Enforcement Team arrested five people Sunday for drug related charges.

Shortly before 6 p.m., officers noted five people acting suspiciously around a vehicle in the parking lot of the City Library. The suspects appeared to be conducting a “hand-to-hand” transaction of a possible drug deal.

Officers said they contacted the five suspects and arrested them on various drug-related charges:

• Rachel Porter, 21, of Paso Robles – felony possession of heroin and an out of county warrant. She is being held in lieu of $60,000 bail.

• Edward Dowless, 23, of Arroyo Grande – felony possession of heroin. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

• George Machado, 23, of Paso Robles – felony transportation and providing heroin He is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.

• Joshua Dollins, 35, of Paso Robles – misdemeanor under the influence of a controlled substance and illegal possession of narcotic paraphernalia. He is no longer in custody.

• Alexander Cisneros, 22, of Templeton – misdemeanor illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance. He is no longer in custody.

They might as well have conducted their drug deal in the Police Department parking lot–the library parking lot is that close to the Police Department. What a bunch of losers.
