Spring Fire rages in Ventura County

More than 28,000 acres have been charred by the Santa Ana wind fueled Springs Fire in Ventura County, but the weather has now changed and the fire is 30 percent contained, according to a report from CalFire at 7:30 a.m.
A low pressure weather system has developed over the fire bringing higher humidity and lower temperatures, which has given firefighters an opportunity to contain the fire.
More than 1,800 firefighters from 13 agencies are battling the blaze that has destroyed 25 outbuildings and damaged 15 residences, five commercial properties, and 15 outbuildings.
Four additional fires are burning in California, according to CalFire. The Summit Fire in Riverside County has burnt 3,166 acres and is 85 percent contained, the Panther Fire in Tehuma County has burnt 6,705 acres and is 20 percent contained, the Cedar Fire in Butte County has charred 72 acres and is 90 percent contained and the 306 Fire in Glenn County has burned 217 acres and is 90 percent contained.
