Woman robs bank in Nipomo

nipomo bankA woman robbed Coast Hills Federal Credit Union Thursday in Nipomo.

The Hispanic woman entered the bank on West Tefft Street around 4:30 p.m., mentioned that she had a weapon and demanded money. She then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office says the woman is 35 to 40 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and heavy-set.

She was wearing blue-tinted sunglasses, a black shirt, a black cap and blue jeans. The robber was also carrying a black purse.

Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the robbery, as is the FBI.

At least she is doing it in the public’s eye, unlike our politicians who do it in the dead of night and behind closed doors.

Is it me, or are we having like 1-2 bank robberies a month around here? And they’re getting more and more pathetic.


I don’t know the monthly average, but I think it’s 4 in the last couple of weeks. The guy who robbed Chase in SLO and B of A in A-Town, the Citibank in A-town, and this one.

We don’t see a lot of female bank robbers. Equal rights in all things.


We have plenty of them in SanDiego….

they also love to be the driver of the get-away-car.
