Adam AntBy COLIN JONES

Eighties new wave icon Adam Ant will make a rare San Luis Obispo appearance when he plays the historic Fremont Theater, on Sept. 18, CalCoastNews has learned.

Both as leader of Adam and the Ants and a solo artist, Ant was part of the unique ‘New Romantic’ movement in England with such hit songs as ‘Goody Two Shoes’ and ‘Stand and Deliver’.

The pop singer is in the midst of a North American tour promoting his release of new material in January.

Tickets, priced at $30, go on sale Friday, July 12 at noon at Vallitix.com and Boo Boo Records.

Central coast concert promoter Numbskull Productions is putting on the event. Other recent shows at the Fremont were Taj Mahal last year and Lindsey Buckingham in 2011.

Mr. Ant is currently rockin it pretty hard with two of his earliest albums “Dirk Wears White Socks” and “Kings of the Wild Frontier.” Get on YouTube before you go and get familiar with classics like “Rip in my Valase,” “Kick,” “Car Trouble,” and “Dog eat Dog.”

Kind of hard to tell a squat the big mistake he’s making.

Stand and Deliver.

Your Money of your Life

Ha!

“Oh to be young and fearless.”

Like a Scorpion!

I LOVE Adam Ant! Kings of the Wild Frontier was an awesome 80’s pop album!

Ironically, the $30 ticket price is almost what one would pay to see a movie and have a popcorn and drink…

I think I’m too old to show up and see him, though. I’ll have to check with the wife and kids… maybe…

are we all to old to not admit we liked him? well, it was the 80’s ;>)

I’m worried he’ll trigger another Exterminator Emergency!

don’t drink don’t smoke what do you do?
