Knives used in Paso Robles attacks

August 19, 2013

knivesKnives were flying Sunday in Paso Robles as police reported two incidents, both on Pine Street, one of which involved the stabbing of a 16-year-old youth.

Officers responded to the scene of the first reported incident in the 1100 block of Pine when several Hispanic men were said to be fighting. Witnesses reported that the men ran off before officers could arrive, and that one of the men appeared to have been stabbed.

In another, later incident around 9:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of Pine, the youth was stabbed in the arm and back after he was attacked by several Hispanic males in front of his home.

According to police, it is not known if the incidents were gang-related.

Officials are searching for three vehicles reported to have been used in the incidents: a gold Chevrolet pickup with a bed cover; a brown four-door Honda or Acura; and a silver Pontiac Grand Am with a dent near the rear of the vehicle.

Just punks, if these outside gangs are coming in and trying to kill the Paso gangs sounds a bit like the wild west. Maybe all us other folks should board up our windows, bolt our doors and let them at it….

“According to police, it is not known if the incidents were gang-related.”

Really?! There was this stabbing incident this weekend AND another shooting at Dry Creek Apts. I’m pretty confident–99%–that BOTH these incidents were gang-related.

I’m feeling increasingly unsafe in Paso Robles.

I’m glad I left two years ago, but I still have family there so I follow. This is too bad.

Hey, gangbangers need some kind of activity to keep them busy….

stabbing, and shooting, just par for the course.

My guess, is the same that we are seeing more and more. One gang related and two I BET they came down from King City.

How about ……………..up from Santa Maria ? Take a drive thru downtown Paso some evening and check out the City Park [ The crown jewel of P.R.) crowd, and the street cruisors. Yep… their visitors from other areas, not a local in sight.

You’re both right. Down from Salinas/King City/Greenfield…up from Ventura/SB/Santa Maria…and don’t forget over from Bakersfield/Fresno/the valley.

Paso is becoming a gang magnet and the Sheriff’s Safe Streets program needs to be re-implemented. Our local cops are not cutting it when it comes to curbing gang activity. Drive-by shootings, stabbings, graffiti, drugs…

They are doing a real number on SantaBarbara too. They are like a malignant

cancer spreading all over California. Time to clean house….

Remember a couple years ago when Paso officials insisted there were no gangs in Paso… just “you gatherings”…

Also, isn’t the Uptown Park project near the 3100 block?

“youth” sorry for the typo.

don’t forget kidnap and rape

Have you been to the Walmart in Paso Robles lately? As I left the store, I had that sensation of sneaking across the boarder. The knives were everywhere, a new meaning for “just poking around.”
