Arroyo Grande man pistol-whips roommate, then shoots himself

The San Luis Obispo Regional SWAT Team found an Arroyo Grande man accused of pistol-whipping his roommate, dead of a self inflicted gunshot Wednesday.
The Arroyo Grande Police Department received a call around 7:27 p.m. Tuesday stating that Grant Steven Cole had beaten his roommate several times with a handgun after an argument.
On Wednesday, Arroyo Grande police detectives attempted to serve a search warrant at Cole’s residence, but Cole would not respond.
Around 4:12 p.m., the SWAT team came to the home and deployed tear gas. When the SWAT team entered the house, they found Cole’s body in his bedroom.
Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the case.
