District attorney plans to step down

gerry sheaSan Luis Obispo County District Attorney Gerry Shea announced Monday that he will not run for reelection in 2014. [Tribune]

Shea, who has won three elections, has held the office for 15 and a half years.

In 1977, Shea became a deputy district attorney prosecuting felony and misdemeanor cases. Eight years later he was promoted to chief deputy district attorney.

The filing period for candidates for the office begins in February with a primary election to be held in June.

Yes, easy time for Guth and Yaguda.I had heard she was working on an inmate fire crew. He’s already out. Now she can go dig up all the gold she buried out on the Olive Ranch. Speaking of the Olive Ranch, Motels, Gas Stations did they ever sell any of these assets?. It’s funny how you don’t hear anything about all this stuff. They just swept it under the carpet. Just in time before Hurst and Gearhart go to trial. BTW Just got a notice frome the Department of Corrections that Karen Guth will be getting out of Prison come FEB. – MAR. time frame.


Weren’t she and her boy sentenced back in November of ’09 for 12yrs (for her) and 8yrs (for him)? Let’s see… 13 minus 9 is 4, and 4 is less than 12. Hmmm. Must be REALLY good behavior to get out that early.

Not likely, already one of his assistants has stated he will run for the office. Soooooooooooo, we just get more of the same dog and pony show!
