Vandenberg Air Force base involved in drug probe

vandenberg air forceAn Air Force investigation into illegal drug has expanded to include officers at Vandenberg Air Force Base on the Central Coast of California. [WITN]

U.S. Air Force officials are investigating 10 officers – nine lieutenants and one captain – at five bases in the United States and one in England. The investigation began at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

Investigators are focusing on recreational drug use at Malmstrom, Vandenberg, F.E. Warren and Schreiver Air Force bases as well as the Royal Air Force Lakenheath in England, home to a U.S. fighter wing.
