Speeding driver evades Arroyo Grande police

police chaseArroyo Grande police are searching for a man who led them on a high-speed chase through the Five Cities Tuesday. [KSBY]

Around 5 p.m. Tuesday, officers tried to stop a vehicle driven by a man believed to be associated with a suspect in a car theft case and who had a felony warrant out for his arrest. But the driver fled, beginning the chase in the 100 block of South Elm Street.

The driver led police through Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Pismo Beach before officers terminated their pursuit on Northbound Highway 101 at Spyglass Drive.

Police say they ended the chase due to speed and traffic conditions.

Loud pipes are for losers that have small penises. They ride around wanting everyone to look at them and think they’re so cool. Most are big fat slobs that don’t give a rat’s ass about anyone but themselves. They only impress each other with their “bad ass” bikes.

Sounds like penis envy from driving your 2 hp Prius. Other than another whiner making public his own personal hangups about noise, where in the CCN story do you see loud pipes or motorcycles?

Two thoughts: Others have commented that abandoning the pursuit may have been wise. I wasn’t there, I won’t second guess, and probably the correct decision WAS made, but allowing a fleeing suspect to escape strongly encourages flight, just as the total failure of AGPD to cite thunderous illegal motorcycle “pipes” in the town and village encourages the thugs to ride whatever home-disrupting machine they can purchase.


(motorcycles come from the factory with the same noise level as a Toyota Camry per federal law. They do NOT come loud, loudness does NOT deliver any proven safety to riders in any credible study, and I don’t care if they “ride for children” fundraising once a year.

The CDC in Atlanta and NIH studies show that disrupted sleep has a direct connection to heart disease and death. "Loud pipes save lives" is their false PR credo. Actually, loud pipes contribute measurably to general public death.

I was in AG, on Grand about three blocks west of elm, just about to cross the street on foot. Grand was full of vehicles.


IT WAS DANGEROUS THEN !


Since there were no weapons, no shots fired, the only imminent danger was the high speed chase. It should have never started.


Bad police work. They’re lucky a tragedy didn’t occur.

He’ll get caught eventually, bet on it! I just want to say “THANK YOU” to the Officers involved who made the right choice in terminating their high speed pursuit and in doing so kept the uninvolved and vulnerable general public safe.
