Woman crashes into Nucci’s Pizza

May 16, 2014

nucciA 33-year-old woman crashed her SUV into a San Luis Obispo pizza restaurant Thursday injuring one patron, police said.

At about 3:45 p.m., the driver of the SUV was attempting to park when her foot got caught between the pedals causing her to push on the gas pedal. Her SUV then jumped the cement parking barrier and crashed into the restaurant’s front window.

The crash knocked a 60-year-old Los Osos woman sitting inside the restaurant to the ground. The woman received minor injuries from the window’s shattered glass and was treated by medics at the scene

The driver was not injured and she did not show any signs of impairment, so she was released.

Nucci’s should offer her free delivery for life to keep their storefront and customers safe. “Will that be pickup or delivery?” Oh it’s you, we”ll bring it right to you, no charge”.

By the way, the explanation of her foot getting caught between the pedals makes no sense..

Perhaps it’s time to re-think SLO’s no drive-thru policy? ;-)

…I’m glad no one was hurt. I blame the footwear. We should ban footwear that might get caught and cause accidents. They were probably assault shoes.
