Pismo Beach lets the goats in

“No regulation currently prohibits goats from wandering the beach.”

Uh, I am sure there is no regulation prohibiting elephants from wandering the beach as well, but should they be allowed to do it in the first place? Little round goat poop balls along with dog poop too?

“The new ordinance will require residents to inform their neighbors prior to keeping goats around the house.”

This is so admirable. Conversely, is there a place in the existing ordinance where one has to inform their neighbors that they are raising Boa Constrictors, just in case one gets outdoors and strangles one of their children?

“Individuals may also parade goats through public parks, so long as the animals are kept on leashes.”

Seriously, who would want to be caught parading a goat on a leash in a public park? Would it be possible to parade a Komodo Dragon through the park as long as it had a leash on to prevent it from attacking a dog and ripping it’s throat out? Where does it stop?

Barring the continuing bleating from goats ALL DAY LONG, and smelling like you live in a farming community in the San Joaquin Valley, I can just see the owners of their expensive one million dollar plus homes, where their next door neighbor decides to raise a “plethora” of goats. Albeit, that they can’t wait until the summertime where their neighbor’s piled up goat poop cooks in the sun all day long!
