Paso Robles police arrested a 32-year-old man early Tuesday morning for molesting a 13-year-old boy.

The juvenile victim came to the police department around 6:45 p.m. Monday to report that an acquaintance of his had molested him. Detectives quickly confirmed the allegation and located the suspect, Lizandro Jorge Rivera.

Officers booked Rivera into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of lewd act upon a child, sodomy and sexual penetration with a foreign object.

Rivera remains in jail on $100,000 bail.

This young teenager is very brave for reporting this disgusting excuse for a human being.

His actions have probably saved some other child from also being victimized by this animal…

Could be a friend of the mom or the family, a coach/volunteer, any number of ways for creeps to meet kids innocently enough.


If he is not a citizen and IS found guilty, he should be deported to a Mexican jail. As a taxpayer I would PAY to have him housed there instead of CMC or elsewhere.It’s got to cost less.


My condolences to the boy and his family. His life will never be the same.

This is like blaming a woman for rape. Maybe you have read about the judge in Colorado who gave a rapist 30 days and claimed the young 14 year old girl “had a part in the whole thing”. Thank goodness (and I do mean GOODNESS) that a huge backlash is calling for him to step down. We are bankrupt as humans when we begin to blame the victim of sexual assault that is under age. When we begin to go along with sexual assault and shrug it off as “more than meets the eye”, we are condemning innocence. When we lose innocence-and refuse to protect it, but rather, condemn it…we have sold a part of our soul to darkness.
