Wanted man invades Nipomo home

A suspect in a carjacking who barricaded himself in a Nipomo home Wednesday morning has been arrested.
After allegedly carjacking a vehicle in Santa Maria, the suspect fled north, crashed into a fence in Nipomo and entered an occupied home on the 200 block of Encino Lane. With help from the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Department, a woman and her 4-year-old child were able to escape from the home.
The armed suspect remained barricaded in the home for several hours before deputies took him into custody. He will be transported to the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
