Crash near Shandon leaves two with major injuries

Shortly after 1 a.m., the vehicles collided on westbound Highway 46 just east of Highway 41. California Highway Patrol officials have yet to announce a suspected cause of the crash, nor further details.

On Saturday, an alleged DUI collision on Highway 1 north of Cayucos left two children dead and two adults hospitalized with major injuries. The crash landed a Morro Bay man in jail on a vehicular manslaughter charge.
