Paso Robles shoe store robbed

pasopolicePaso Robles police are searching for a man who robbed Payless Shoe Source on Sunday afternoon.

Shortly before 5 p.m., the suspect entered the business and appeared to be shopping for a few minutes before approaching the counter, lifting up his shirt and revealing a handgun in a waistband, according to a police department news release. An employee at the shoe store gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect then fled westbound on Niblick Road in a white 4-door sedan. No one was injured in the robbery.

The  suspect is described as being a white male in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds. He appeared clean-shaven and had blond hair.

Witnesses said the man was wearing a white shirt and gray cargo style shorts.

An investigation into the robbery is ongoing. Officers request that anyone with information about the crime contact the police department or call Crime Stoppers at 549-STOP.

5’10” and 240. May want to stake out the local bakeries and donut shops. He’ll show up sooner or later.
