Person dies in crash near Paso Robles

CHP@One person has died following a car crash in rural Paso Robles. [Tribune]

Law enforcement received a report of the crash shortly before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle was found on Chimney Rock and Adelaida roads near Justin Vineyards & Winery.

A CHP officer who responded to the scene found a white van on its side. The officer found the person dead outside the vehicle.

KSBY reports the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash, and the death appears to be a suicide.

Initially I believe they hadn’t ruled out foul play so I’m glad (in a way) that someone lost their life on their own terms rather than at the hands of a murderer.

C’mon people, what is so difficult?

Numerous news outlets are reporting this as a suicide. Obviously the driver wasn’t concerned about wearing his seat belt. Very, very sad.
