Paso Robles Police arrested the father of a 2-year-old girl Wednesday on felony child abuse charges.

The mother of the child and her live in boyfriend, Francisco Javier Chavez, 27, provided information about how the child had received multiple fractures and other injuries that were inconsistent with the injuries, police said. The toddler was initially treated at Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton but later transferred to a Madera hospital due to the extent of her injuries.

On Wednesday, Paso Robles police detectives traveled to a hospital in Madera after a social worker from San Luis Obispo County Child Welfare Services reported that the 2-year-old girl who was being treated for significant injuries.

After an investigation, Paso Robles police arrested Francisco Javier Chavez, 27, and booked him into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of felony child abuse.

Kettle is right, CCRN. In the CWS world an abused woman is regularly deemed initially unfit for placement of her children because she “failed to protect” her children from being exposed to violence at all, regardless of the victim.

Comments focused on immigration and or extrajudicial punishments are cheerfully deleted .

!!! or ??? Email please.

That is a children’s hospital in Madera and they specialize in very severe cases such as these-and it is probably worse than we know. Bless this poor, poor child. Alone in a strange city (hospitals are so, so scary as it is) with no parents near for support and only two years old. No child is deserving of such treatment! We really should begin implementing measures to see that parents like this do NOT have more children. I know, it sounds extreme, but it is highly likely they would abuse another child also-and sterilization would ensure they do not get the chance to do anything like this again. These sorts who are inclined to abuse–are not well monitored after prison sentences. This makes it possible for them to find new partners and start the cycle all over again. Sterilization for both him and her (once proven she is facilitating the abuse) would be preventative in nature.

Child abuse like this is unfathomable and is hard for the rational thinking mind to even try to comprehend. Once again, this act is just another reason why it is so hard to be a true Christian going into the 21st century. This is because we Christians are to forgive the sins of Francisco Javier Chavez in a Catch-22 situation, because if we don’t, our Hebrew God will not forgive our sins!

“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6: 14-15)

As if the above biblical axiom isn’t disturbing enough to reason, then we have the fact that if Mr. Chavez accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior in prison, which most prisoners do for obvious reasons, then he will be forgiven and we’ll see him in heaven. What? This will happen while the likes of great scientists that are saving humanity through medicine that don’t believe in Jesus will burn in Hell for eternity! The “believe Jesus or die” addage.

“To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” (Acts 10:43)

Truthfully, my faith is shuttering when examples like this present themselves. The aforementioned stipulations within this scenario may be one of the reasons why so many are leaving our faith.

Let us pray to Jesus why He made it so hard for us to go directly against logic and reason.

Was the Mother not complicit in the abuse also? I suppose we’ll have to see how the investigation unfolds.

This is absolutely an instance where the child should be removed from these parents.

There’s NO WAY the mother of a two year old doesn’t know about the abuse this animal is inflicting upon that baby.

I am sure the child will be.

If the parents don’t tell the truth when interviewed separately, the child will be removed, and would probably be removed anyway unless mom was being abused too. Then perhaps women’s shelter would be an option. Like with most all CWS cases, an investigation will be done to see if a safe relative can care for the child while it is determined what really happened.

I am so sad this happened to this toddler. Children should never have to go through this.

“I am sure”

Wow you are just a CWS expert, listening to you I don’t see how there could ever be a bad outcome when CWS is on the job.

It’s almost like you are quoting from a brochure, but no that’s decades of experience talking.
