San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s detectives determined a shooting on Thursday in Oceano was gang related.

At about 1:30 p.m., Jose Angel Castillo, 38, allegedly opened fire on a passing vehicle from a home on the 1500 block of Ocean Street. No one was injured in the shooting.

Witnesses reported hearing shots as well as seeing a vehicle leaving the area at the time shots were heard.

Investigators seized a gun they believe Castillo used in the shooting. In addition, deputies recovered the victim’s bullet-hole marred vehicle.

On Thursday, Deputies arrested Castillo on a felony charge of attempted murder and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Orale holmes!

Our politicians answer to incidents like this is more gun control! I am sure Jose will turn in his guns when asked.

His gun has already been “turned in” according to the article. At least the one that did the shooting in this incident.

Maybe if they had someone decent in charge Oceano could clean up their act.

Also the decent people need to get involved if they hope to end this kind of violence. I never see but one or two residents at the OSCD meetings when I go. If you want change, get involved and make a change.

Who should be in charge? Maybe if they would deport!

Notice to MOD, Go ahead and delete the post, I’m used to it.

I feel sorry for the decent people of Oceano.

It seems as though they’re outnumbered by these neck tattooed losers.

What a shock.
