Firefighters rescue a horse in Los Osos

Rescue personnel came to the aid of a horse that was trapped in a ditch in Los Osos on Sunday afternoon.
Shortly before 3 p.m., something scared the horse while a woman was riding it on the mountainous trail. The woman fell off, and the horse ran into a drainage ditch near the top of Broderson Trail.
According to a KSBY report, the horse had managed to get out of the ditch but not back onto the trail by the time rescue crews arrived. Rescue crews then worked for about an hour to get the horse back on the trail.
The woman did not suffer any significant injuries. The condition of the horse is not known.
