Paso Robles teen arrested for rape

Paso Robles police arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 3: p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a rape victim at Twin Cities Community Hospital. The alleged rape had occurred earlier in an open field on the 1100 block of Ramada Drive.

On Thursday, police arrested Aaron Jacob Duran, 18, and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of rape, forcible oral copulation and penetration with a foreign object.

Duran remains in jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. Because of the nature of the incident and the age of the victim, police are not releasing any further information.

Just like diamond and abigchocoholic stated, nobody has enough information right now. If this young man is innocent everyone writing horrible things on Facebook, the newspaper, etc….. Could ruin his life!!!!! Before judging let’s wait till more information is released and we know for sure!!! The news and newspapers have released very little information about this whole case!!! This young man is just beginning his life and just graduated from high school so like I said if he is innocent this could ruin everything by social media and everyone’s comments!!!! Remember innocent until proven guilty!!!!!

Accused. Don’t you think it’s a bit premature to splatter his picture all over the county before the facts come out? I certainly don’t defend anyone who would commit such a horrible crime but I also believe in our system of Innocent until proven Guilty.

If it burns it earns. It if bleeds it leads.


He’s 18 and she’s 16 and it happened late at night and the police weren’t notified until the afternoon of the next day. So we don’t know if this was forcible or statutory. We simply don’t have enough information.


When we don’t have enough information the best thing to do is make it seem like it’s the worst possible scenario—-because it if burns it earns, if it bleeds it leads.
