Mayor arrested for playing strip poker at youth camp

The 41-year-old mayor of Stockton was arrested Thursday on charges stemming from a strip poker game he allegedly participated in with teen counselors at his Mayor’s Youth Camp last summer. Mayor Anthony Silva is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, furnishing alcohol to a person under 21 and child endangerment.

In Aug. 2015, approximately 75 disadvantaged children between the ages of 5 and 17 attended the mayor’s youth camp. Silva had hired young adults to work as counselors at the camp, according to court documents.

One of the counselors told investigators that there was beer and vodka available at the camp, and many of the counselors were drinking. On one evening, Silva, a 16-year-old boy, an 18-year-old woman, a 19-year-old woman and two 19-year-old men allegedly participated in a game of strip poker during which everyone at one time was naked.

Last fall, federal agents seized Silva’s cellphone and laptop. Investigators then discovered 23 photographs and four video clips from the 2015 summer youth camp including an audio tape of the strip poker game.

“Mayor Silva allowed and encouraged persons under 21 years of age to consume alcohol for the purpose of getting intoxicated so he … could involve, and participate with, such persons in sexually suggestive behavior such as strip poker where such activities could be videotaped,” wrote Terrence Brass, a criminal investigator with the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, in a declaration.

Silva’s attorney, Mark Reichel, questions the timing of the mayor’s arrest. Silva is currently running for reelection.

“Authorities have had all of this information for a year, and have spent unlimited resources looking everywhere they could to find something to justify the investigation,” Reichel said in a statement. “The timing is very suspect, and seems like the work of a political clique in Stockton.”

“I’m sure the republicans can only DREAM of having such a massive, ignorant constituency that falls for even the boldest, no-longer-concealed lies”

What are you talking about? They already do. The name Trump ring a bell?

Isn’t this from the movie “Meatballs”?

Hmm, it appears that a new strawman tactic is becoming popular. The DNC leaked emails weren’t denied either, just tried to deflect the blame to the Russians for exposing them. Didn’t work there either Mayor ;)

I don’t hear any denials of the accusations, only the claim that the timing of the charges are politically motivated. As usual character doesn’t matter, only whether a certain agenda is carried forth.

That is likely because the political parties (especially the democrats) have been reduced to the most ignorant, salivating “useful idiots” they can possibly have. All you have to say is “it’s a vast right-wing conspiracy” and half the voting democrats believe that and go with it.

I mean, look, Obama just laundered money (illegally) and paid a ransom (illegally) to Iran, then lied to us like we’re as stupid as his typical supporters. Just when I thought Hillary having ZERO legal liabilities for her massively illegal activities was a new low…

I’m sure the republicans can only DREAM of having such a massive, ignorant constituency that falls for even the boldest, no-longer-concealed lies.

Was Caren Ray among the happy campers?

Oh, man- this one is truly remarkable:

“Last fall, federal agents seized Silva’s cellphone and laptop. Investigators then discovered 23 photographs and four video clips from the 2015 summer youth camp including an audio tape of the strip poker game.

Silva’s attorney, Mark Reichel, questions the timing of the mayor’s arrest. Silva is currently running for reelection.”

Earth to attorney Mark Reichel: the authorities have had all that evidence since LAST FALL, thus providing your scumbag client more than half a year to decide NOT to run for re-election and possibly avoid prosecution and public humiliation. Then, instead, he announces that he’s running for re-election anyhow, and you whine like a little thumb-sucking crybaby about “the timing of the mayor’s arrest”?

Hey attorney Reichel, there’s a whole big universe called “The Real World” out there waiting for you to discover and explore. You might want to check it out- oh, and take your little “client” with you.

Jeez, folks, I don’t know- you just can’t make this stuff up anymore.

Panflash,

That leech, Reichel, is not speaking to anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together, he is addressing the people who vote for the (D) on the ballot… to the rest of the world, yeah, it’s arrogant and condescending.

That’s exactly what Reichel is counting on…sheeple.

Birds of a feather Adam Hill and Caren Ray share this strategy.

shoot. looks like fun. all we ever got to see was mister X throwing empty beer cans out the back of his truck.

and yes, it was a Ford
