Walk A Mile in Her Shoes in Mission Plaza

There is an old saying: "You can't really understand another person's experiences until you've walked a mile in their shoes." That is why the Sexual Assault Recovery & Prevention (SARP) Center and The San Luis Obispo Symphony will be hosting SARP’s 10^th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes & Family Fun Fair on Saturday April 28 in San Luis Obispo’s  Mission Plaza. The event will take place from 10am-2pm, feature live music, a raffle, non-profit awareness fair, family fun fair, and a mile walk through downtown San Luis Obispo. Men are asked to participate by literally walking a mile in women’s high-heeled shoes. It’s quite a sight to see, and it sheds light on the serious topic of sexual assault in a light-hearted way while uniting our community against it.
