Discussion on housing inequalities and deficiencies in SLO

A group of concerned residents to discuss the housing inequalities and deficiencies for families and working people in SLO.

A realtor once told me that college students are preferred tenants because for each college student renting there are usually two incomes backing them (i.e. their mother and father).

This is great for college students who need a comfortable place to stay while they learn but makes it difficult for working families and people getting on their feet. This standard is largely responsible for raising prices in our area and borders on discriminatory practice.

We will be meeting this Wednesday, 6/13 at 4pm at Kreutzberg Cafe at 685 Higuera Street to discuss this and brainstorm solutions to this ongoing problem.
