Light up the Night, event photos

September 29, 2010

Rebecca Houseman almost lost her life to leukemia twice during the past six years. And now, with the help of the Nipomo Rotary Club and her family, she is working to help others coping with this devastating illness.

Last Sunday, they hosted a gala event at Joseph’s Catholic Church Parish Hall in Nipomo with all of the funds going to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Thank you to all of the fine people who helped to pull together this event. It was a great evening filled with delicious BBQ food, local wine and ice cream dessert. The silent auctions were contributed by local vendors including Miners, Trendy Sisters Salon, Jockos Restaurant, Healing Touch Day Spa, Cliffs Resort, Luffa Farms, Leititia Vineyards, Quarterdeck and more. A big thank you to American Star Trailways and Hearts Castle for their donated trip for the drawings.

This event was made possible by our generous community and our hardworking family and friends. We would like to thank each and every one of you.

Our biggest supporter in this event was Paul Texeira along with Tom and Debbie Geaslen. They made it possible for us to raise $15,000 toward the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. When you are voting for Supervisor in November please remember that Paul Texeira is a man who gets things done and is always willing to support his community. We can’t thank him enough.
