Felon on the run after ramming sheriff’s vehicle in Atascadero

December 19, 2012

Marc Steele

A felon in possession of a firearm has been on the run from San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies since Friday when he rammed his car into a sheriff’s vehicle in Atascadero to avoid arrest.

Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit attempted to arrest Marc Steele, 37, for possessing a firearm. But, Steele rammed his silver Lexus four door sedan into a Sheriff’s K-9 vehicle in the 990 block of West Front Road in Atascadero and fled.

Steele, who frequents Northern San Luis Obispo County and the coastal area, now has outstanding warrants for a felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest.

The Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to Steele’s arrest and is asking anyone who has located him to call 781-4550.

Steele is approximately 5 feet 9 inches and 150 pounds. He is a white man with green eyes and brown hair. Steele is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Imagine that, a felon with a gun.

Isn’t ramming a patrol car attempted murder on a peace office?

Here’s another one with those Manson lamps. Creepy.

On the loose with a gun, ramming a Sheriff’s Patrol Unit since Friday. And now we are just hearing about it on Wednesday.? What a bunch of crap. So much for having the publics best interest in mind. Really?

I’m sure the intention was not to issue a hunting tag. Although, the concept seems to be a rational cost cutting and revenue generating idea to explore? Hmm…Bounty Hunters, wanted dead or alive, sounds very wild west, maybe there is hope for California?

I woulld turn this creep in and give the $1000 back to SLOSO as a gift. Loading my 30 30 out here in ranchland in case Mr. Steele shows up.

Turn his body in to the coroner would be a better option. Better to be tried by twelve than carried by 6
