A Paso Robles High School teacher was busted Tuesday after police discovered he was having an ongoing sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl, police said.

After receiving information on June 1 that Jeremy Monn, 31, was having sex with one of his students, police initiated an investigation. During an interview, the female student confirmed she was having an ongoing sexual relationship with Monn, a teacher of agriculture. police said.

Police have arrested Monn and are planning to book him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, a felony.

Don’t know if this girl is telling the truth or not but it doesn’t seem right that a young girl can say something like that and the teacher ends up trashed before there is any proof. It’s just too easy to destroy someone’s life and reputation these day’s based on hearsay. Do you all remember the North County business/family man who was falsely accused of raping a woman in the park after he innocently gave her a ride home? He was arrested and he was accused in all the press and even on TV and it turned out that SHE was lying and no sex in any fashion had occurred at all..He was just making certain that she got home safe. Her name was never damaged but his was and the original accusatory headlines surrounding his arrest are now out there forever via google.


If this teacher did do this, his life is finished and he can kiss his education and hard work goodbye. He will now have to register as a sex offender and he will never teach again (if he is guilty). He will be trading a class room for a jail cell, dummy.


I will wait to see what comes of these accusations.

There need only be probable cause for an arrest (more than suspicion but not proof beyond reasonable doubt). The police must have deemed the student credible and obtained other corroborating evidence.


We don’t know if they began the investigation due to the minor’s complaint or there was a report from a 3rd party.


No winners in this situation for sure.

This may be true, but in my opinion this is bad reporting…..Innocent until proven guilty….Must have the word allegedly (spelled correctly of course) in the reporting. A good lawyer would go after change of venue or some other such tactic to get his client off the hook. There are enough preditors at there already…

Did he take the “Quick Trial Option” when arrested? What ever happened to “allegedly’ and “accused”? I don’t know anything about this guy or his accuser/alleged partner but don’t we still have innocent until proven guilty?

Lets see if they are able to fire him. I bet he gets paid this summer while awaiting trial. Let the child’s parents choose and administer this rapists punishment. It’s the only way this kind of thing will ever be stopped.
