Grover Beach woman killed in Arroyo Grande crash

A 27-year-old Grover Beach woman died in a crash in Arroyo Grande early Saturday morning, according to the CHP.
At about 2:15 a.m., the woman was driving her 1996 Volkswagen south on Corbett Canyon Road near Royal Oak Place when her car veered off the road, crashed into a power pole and then hit an oak tree. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Authorities are withholding the victim’s name until her relatives have been notified.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing. Officers have not ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash.
