Grover Beach woman killed in crash identified

The California Highway Patrol has identified Michelle Dwyer as the 27-year-old Grover Beach woman who died in a crash in Arroyo Grande early Saturday morning. Dwyer was the mother of two young boys.
At about 2:15 a.m., Dwyer was driving her 1996 Volkswagen south of Corbett Canyon Road near Royal Oak Place when her car veered off the road, crashed into power pole and hit an oak tree. Emergency responders pronounced Dwyer dead at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing. Investigators have not ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash. Coroner’s officials are awaiting toxicology results.
A GoFundMe page is raising funds to support Dwyer’s children. The page states the boys will be raised by their aunt.
