Firefighters extinguish blaze at rural Atascadero home

Firefighters extinguished a small fire at a home south of Atascadero on Sunday night.
Shortly after 10: 30 p.m., crews responded to a structure fire on Walnut Avenue near El Camino Real. Firefighters quickly extinguished a small blaze on the front deck of the home, according to Cal Fire.
Crews prevented the fire from extending inside the residence. Firefighters remained at the scene for two hours to mop up the blaze.
No one suffered injuries as a result of the fire.
