Morro Bay City Council supports impeachment and removal of Trump

The Morro Bay City Council voted unanimously at a special meeting Thursday to send a letter to federal offices and other elected officials supporting the impeachment of President Donald Trump and his removal from office.

A draft of the letter calls for Trump’s immediate removal from office for inciting violence against the United States government and the Capitol on Jan. 6.

“Donald Trump’s bid to overturn the results of the free and fair election that he lost cannot be met with silence,” the draft letter states. “Our democracy belongs to the people and we all — Republicans, Democrats, independents and members of other political parties — must strive to protect it. Thus, it is imperative that we hold those who violently attacked our Capitol, and who promoted such attacks, responsible.

“We join other local, state and federal leaders to support this effort for the sake of our democracy, the very democracy that provides us the privilege to serve.”

Earlier this week, the House of Representatives voted 232-197 to impeach Trump on the charge of incitement of insurrection. President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration is on Jan. 20.

How in the world is this related to Morro Bay business whatsoever. The city manager and city council should be ashamed that they had a special meeting to make this ridiculous vote that means nothing. How much did this cost to convene everybody do the public noticing, ridiculous. How about paying attention to your sad Embarcadero, loss of businesses, failing department heads and depleted transient occupancy tax. Stay in your lane, get the work done.

Suddenly I realize the source of those extensive circular skid marks on public roads and highways, especially highway One. I thought they were from kids with automotive “line lock” added brake pedals who were “drifting” and screeching their cars around after midnight for fun.


Turns out the marks are just the ROAD MAP of the political leadership of Morro Bay, and their perception of a straight line path to reason and common sense.

For the next two years they all need to take a substantial pay cut and pay more fir their PERS retirement.

I’m not surprised by the MB Council’s opinion, I’m surprised that moron bay actually has a City Council.

Hahaha…. It’s Morro Bay. When is the last time anything they said had relevance? I guess it is the only way irrelevants can get any attention.

I wonder if they sent there letter condemning the mayor of Portland or the mayor of Seattle for all or the riots, fires, and murders that happened over the summer? Oh yeah I forgot, it was the “ Summer of Love”….

Additionally, the massive riot controls for Biden’s inauguration are a ploy to defame all Trump supporters with unfounded threats. History is being fabricated just like the fake news. Trump supporters support our men and women in uniform and can’t be responsible for the terrorist who have been funded by our incoming V.P. Harris.
