Pool closed at RV park near Avila beach after mass-casualty incident

Following a mass-casualty incident at Avila Pismo RV Resort & Campground on Saturday, the pool at the recreational vehicle park remains closed, as of early Sunday afternoon.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Cal Fire personnel responded to a level 1 mass-casualty incident at the RV park located near Avila Beach in the 7000 block of Ontario Road. Four patients were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Cal Fire.
Fire personnel remained at the scene as members of the San Luis Obispo County Regional Hazmat Team responded. SLO County Public Health personnel also assisted hazmat team members with investigating the incident.
Shortly before 7 p.m., Cal Fire announced the hazard was no longer present and the scene was stable. Officials have still yet to disclose what caused the injuries and hazmat response.
