Gas prices increase in San Luis Obispo County, find lowest costs

Amid continued instability in the Strait of Hormuz, the average price for a gallon of gas in San Luis Obispo County increased three cents last week to $5.86, according to AAA. At $5.66, the average price for a gallon of gas is currently 20 cents less in Santa Barbara County.

In California, the average price for a gallon of gas is rise three cents to $5.61 last week. Nationally, gas prices jumped three cents to $4.09 a gallon.

SLO County currently has the fifth highest price for gas in the state. Listing the highest average price, Mono County’s price for a gallon of regular gasoline this week is $6.83. Sutter County boasts the lowest average cost at $5.29 a gallon.

Why doesn’t California reopen closed refineries?…. why is my state buying foreign oil when we have more oil than the nations we buy oil from?… those foreign refineries pollute the earth with their unregulate oil business…. Newsom could also give us a break on gas tax… just a temporary break until oil prices come down… its like he wants us to suffer… why?…..

Because he is pushing for electric vehicles that require PG&E for fuel not oil companies. Even though he has ties to the Getty family he’s in bed with the public utilities not big oil. He set all this up and appointed the PUC commissioners to do his bidding but has no control over oil companies and refineries other than pushing them out. Look into the fact that electric rates are pushed as high as possible by the utilities in California, everything they do results in higher rates including not extending Diablos’ permit wile Newom is in office.
