DUI driver slams into SLO home

A natural gas line was severed and several homes were evacuated just before midnight Thursday, following a traffic collision in the 200 block of Luneta, off Foothill, in San Luis Obispo.
Police officers arrested Elliot Jacob, 21, for DUI, after he smashed his 1971 Chevrolet El Camino into the residence at 278 Luneta. Two occupants in the home at the time were uninjured.
Residents were allowed to return to their homes two hours later. Elliot was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail, where his bond was set at $5,000.
