Atascadero fire leaves victim with second degree burns

A victim suffered second degree burns as the result of a house fire in Atascadero on Saturday. [KCOY]
The fire was reported shortly before 1 a.m. on the 9000 block of Santa Lucia Road.
Firefighters arrived to find the single family home engulfed in flames and the fire beginning to spread to nearby areas. It took firefighters twenty minutes to get the fire under control and another three hours to extinguish hot spots.
Fire department investigators are looking into the cause of the fire and estimate damages at $250,000.
