San Luis Obispo man accused of attempted rape

A San Luis Obispo man allegedly climbed into bed with a former female housemate on Friday at around 9 a.m. and attempted to rape her.

Bryan Kwang Kim, 28, had been a resident in the home on the 1200 block of Manzanita Way. He returned to the residence Friday morning, removed his clothes, got into bed with the victim and attempted to sexually assault her.

She fought back, escaped and called police who apprehended Kim not far from the scene.

Kim and the victim both sustained injuries during the incident.

Officers booked Kim into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of assault with the intent to commit rape, penetration with a foreign object, burglary, false imprisonment and sexual battery. His bail has been set at $100,000.

Yes, “assault with the intent to commit rape, penetration with a foreign object, burglary, false imprisonment and sexual battery” IS ten times worse than a two year FBI investigation and arrest of a crooked cop dealing with druggies.


You’re commingling an abstract ( a cop dealing with heroin addicts and informants and the arcane bail system) with the concrete:, a violent sexual attack in a young woman’s house and bedroom at 9am.


And next time, please do try to stay on the topic of the article.

Sorry Robert, not being able to trust the men and women who we hire and pay to protect us from those who have intent to commit rape, penetration with a foreign object, burglary, false imprisonment and sexual battery seems worser somehow to me!

Yet another bail set so far beyond disgraced former Police Detective Cory Pierce’s $10,000. I suppose attempted rape is 10 times worse than stealing drugs from the evidence lockup, forcing people to sell it at gunpoint, and complete abuse of authority and public trust.

While I have no problem with this loser’s bale, I have to agree with you about the Cory Pierce deal. I hope to God he rots in hell as I have had contact with him and he is a no good punk. Definitely fits the bill of a “PIG”.
