Thief stabs victims in Atascadero

A woman assaulted two people with a knife while stealing a cell phone from one of the victim’s on Tuesday at 9:28 a.m.
Officers arrived at the 10700 block of El Camino Real to find the woman had fled the scene and barricaded herself inside her home. After an hour of negotiations, the suspect exited through her back door and surrendered.
Police took the woman into custody before transporting her by ambulance to Twin Cities Hospital for treatment. She was later transferred to San Luis Obispo County Mental Health because of mental health issues.
