Missing San Luis Obispo man found

Bob CallahanAn San Luis Obispo man with dementia, who was reported missing Wednesday, was discovered Thursday in Ventura County.

At about 2 a.m., a Ventura County Deputy observed what he thought was a drunk driver on Highway 101. The deputy pulled the white Toyota Tacoma over and discovered the driver was 85-year-old Robert “Bob” Callahan.

The deputy said Callahan was generally in good health, though he was disoriented.

Callahan’s family members last saw him on Wednesday morning at 9:45 a.m. near Los Osos Valley Road. He was supposed to return home around noon.

A Leo-Wristwatch could help out elderly people and kids that go missing….it has GPS system, and a 911 panic button.


I’m very glad this gentleman was found and didn’t harm himself or others in his vehicle. Now it’s time for his family to take away his car keys and license to prevent further incidents.
