Woman pushing stroller killed in Goleta

A woman pushing her infant across the street in a stroller was struck and killed Monday evening in Goleta, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
At about 5:20 p.m., a vehicle struck the woman in the intersection of Cathedral Oaks Road and Santa Marguerita Drive.
The woman died at the scene and her baby with critical injuries was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
