Motorcyclist in serious condition after Grover Beach crash

motorcycle crashA motorcycle collided with a 1985 Volkswagen Van Sunday afternoon in Grover Beach, leaving the motorcyclist with debilitating injuries, according to Grover Beach police.

At  1:27 p.m., police responded to reports of an accident near the intersection of North Fourth Street and Atlantic City Avenue and found a male motorcyclist trapped partially underneath a 1985 Volkswagen van. The man was severely injured.

Emergency responders extricated the man from under the van before transporting him to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital. He was later transferred to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria. Officials have not yet released his identity.

The occupants of the Volkswagen van did not suffer any injuries.

Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the crash. It remains under investigation.

Thrown under the bus? Reminds me of someone else who’s continually throwing people under the bus.


If you’re referring to the fact that our AG City Manager keeps throwing our PD under the bus, I agree, it’s terrible!
