2 firefighters injured while battling Deer Fire

Two Firefighters have been injured while battling the Deer Fire that broke out Friday afternoon southwest of Lake Nacimiento. The fire has burned 150 acres and is 75 percent contained.
On Friday evening, one firefighter suffered burns to his feet. A second firefighter was injured on Saturday when he was stung more than 30 times by yellow jackets.
The fire is burning in an area of rough terrain that is difficult to access. A total of 589 fire personnel, 25 fire engines, three helicopters, one dozer and two water tenders are being used to battle the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
