One man is in the hospital and another is in jail after a stabbing Saturday night in Oceano.

Shortly before 11 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2100 block of Vista Street in Oceano and discovered a 40-year-old stabbing victim outside a home. The assailant had already fled the area.

Emergency responders transported the victim, who is from the Phoenix area, to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery for a stab wound to the torso. The victim remained hospitalized as of Sunday night, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.

After investigators identified the stabbing suspect as Oceano resident Jaime Alberto Uc, detectives obtained a search warrant.

On Sunday evening, detectives, along with members of the Sheriff’s Gang Task Force, located Uc at a motel in the 300 block of Traffic Way in Arroyo Grande.

Deputies booked Uc into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Uc remains in custody in lieu of $30,000 bail.

I can hear my insurance rates going $$$ and my taxes imposed because of scumbags like this. I’m sure they don’t have their insurance premiums paid to date but maybe they will qualify for Cuesta’s Second Chance Pell Pilot Program for recidivism of inmates. Any bets this is not a first offense!

Any bets a Citizen? Mod, is that better?
